Getting Jiggy With It
When I was asked to collaborate with The Jiggy Crew - I could not have been more excited. Why? Well for starters it is definitely NOT about the bathing suit pictures... It's about the story. There's so much more to life than what's right in front of your face. Let's be real, life isn't all rainbows and butterflies with everything going your way all the time. If anything, it is actually the opposite. We all started our journey somewhere, but it's up to us to leave a mark along the way. For those who are new here and don't know my story, I'd like to give you a little summary. I grew up being an athlete playing and traveling all over for sports. Until one day I was told to stop doing what I love most due to a seriously rare heart aneurysm that could end my life at any given moment. Cruel right? However, that didn't stop me. I became curious to test what else I could do and love as much as sports. I then discovered a love for drawing and music such as dj'ing and teaching myself four instruments. I continued my new hobbies for three to four years until it was time to go off to college. I knew there was more to the story, but I'm a firm believer in everything happens when it's supposed to. ANDDD long story short, I became a New York City girl who fell in love with fashion and inspiring others through it. Which lead to my blog of course, a platform where I can share each part of my journey - my athlete side, my music side, and my new side - fashion.
Through my fight and struggle, I was able to inspire others which honestly there is no better feeling than that. Doing what you love is great, but when it means something to others it's greater. Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person. That is why I was so attached to The Jiggy Crew. Giving back to others you receive more than what you already have in life. Every member of this movement has a story, but we all share a common goal and that is success. Moreover, unity is strength.. when there is teamwork and collaboration wonderful things can be achieved. That is why all the kids part of The Jiggy Crew stand strong together. No one is perfect. We all go through hard times, but it's up to us to overcome the obstacles. If you want better for your life, you can have it. Make a decision and take action. It is never too late to start. Now, I'm passing on my strength to you. It's time to be a leader in your own kingdom. If you want to see change - go make change happen. I believe in you.
