The Knickerbocker Hotel
What better way to feel like you have no responsibilities than to book a staycation in your own city!!! haha well for me, I love changing up scenery and getting that "hotel experience". Actually when I was younger I would go on business trips with my family and I would always collect the room key at each hotel we stayed at. I guess you can say I loved it too much. Anyway, growing up and working you find it harder to get away or relax when you come home to the same space. I was lucky enough to get the chance to stay at The Knickerbocker Hotel in Times Square, New York. As soon as I walked in everyone was so friendly and helpful to guide me through check in. After the seamless process, it was time to check into my room.... and WOW.
Probably one of the nicest New York City Hotels I've stayed at. My absolute favorite thing about it (besides that stunning bathroom with all the mirrors lol) has to be how spacious it is. You can walk without feeling squished in a box and the ceiling is the perfect height. That is one thing you can't find in NYC hotels.
The Knickerbocker has an in-house restaurant called Charlie Palmer at The Knick. The Michelin starred restaurant is guided by Chef Palmer himself who curated his own special menu Contemporary American cuisine. I personally ordered the Filet Mignon and boy did I clean the plate. For a nice little touch, dinner is also served with beautiful live Jazz music. The hotel also has an electrifying rooftop bar and lounge called, St. Cloud, with a DJ and views of Times Square. I tried the delicious impossible burgers and cheese platter.
Overall, such an incredible 2 night stay. I would definitely recommend booking if you are visiting NYC or want to take a staycation like I did. Amazing staff of people, a wide variety of food for room service or dining, there is also a gym, laundry service, and a subway station right on the corner of the street for easy transportation. Not to mention, you are in Times Square so you also have a lot at your feet. If you are into Broadway shows you have many options around you, outside restaurants, and shopping too. The Knickerbocker is definitely a place to visit. I'm already looking forward to my next luxurious stay.
